If you're one of my regular readers you can't fail to have noticed the lack of posts over the past couple of months. There are a number of reasons for this, largely centred around the fact that the past 6 months have been by far the busiest of my 15+ years in pro bike photography. To cut a long story short, over the summer of 2011 I was either working flat out or spending time with my family. And when I say flat out...
Something had to give, and in the end it was the blog. When you're faced with not enough days in the week, you're freelance and all of your free time is taken up with family commitments (which I don't begrudge in the slightest, incidentally), it's the non-paying activities that go to the wall first. And, although the blog is a source of enjoyment for me and also forms part of my (not especially well thought out) public profile, I just couldn't make the time for it.
But that's enough mea culpa. I'm back, the blog lives, there'll be stuff to read again. Really, this time.
I'd noticed your absence. I had to check my feed list to make sure I hadn't deleted the feed by accident ;)
